My maternal grandfather was Fred Richardson born in Nottingham in 1915.

His parents were Ernest Richardson born 1887 in Nottingham and Alice Oldknow Oldham born 1886 in Nottingham.

Although my immediate Richardson ancestors hail from Nottingham; before that they were from Liverton in North Yorkshire.  My most distant Richardson ancestor, John, born in 1749, was Scottish.

I have done a lot of research on the Liverton Richardsons, tracing many of the branches forward through the census, and I’ve also had a lot of help and information from some distant cousins, which I very much appreciate.
