My Freeman ancestors hail from around the Overseal area in South Derbyshire and Burton-on-Trent.
I’ve started to look at this side a little more closely just lately.
My paternal grandfather was William Frederick Freeman, known as Bill, born in Overseal in 1903.

William’s (Bill’s) parents were William Frederick Freeman (b.1878) in Burton-Upon-Trent and Elizabeth Ann Wood (b.1882) in Worthing, Hampshire. Bill had two siblings, Norman Stanley and George.
Bill married Florence Sarah Wallis in 1932 and they had one child, Eric (1937-1965)
